2 Replies and 1685 Views Firmware version [FrankenCIS 15.4.4]  1685  2 Started by  Reanimotion updated firmware now available http://www.frankencis.com/Portals/2/xBlog/uploads/2015/4/4/FrankenCIS_2015_04_04.zip addresses a number of issues with DPR control and changes tuning methods slightly so a retune will be needed for any vehicles running on 2014 firmware Changes: CIS-E resolution and frequency changed to 200 steps and 1.85khz Split k-Jet duty gauge into eWUR and DPR specific items Implemented PWM idle on IGN2 for MicroSquirt v2.0 (useful on others but...

4 Replies and 1730 Views Battery voltage correction on DPR ??  1730  4 Started by  Reanimotion Ok, math time. As we are supplying a constant current to the DPR to adjust the mixture, we should be referencing all our calculations to battery voltage as Voltage is a factor in Ohms law Where P = power in watts E = voltage in volts I = current in amps R = resistance in ohms I = E / R I = P / E I = sqrt( P / R ) so in this case I = Battery Volts / 65 Ohms so we have 200 steps or 0.5 duty resolution and 13 volts giving 200mA at 100 duty through 65 Ohms so 200 / 13 give...

2 Replies and 1679 Views Firmware version [FrankenCIS 15.3.23]  1679  2 Started by  Reanimotion Posted this morning on Pelican Our first on the road report for the CIS-E hybrid monster. Seems to run fine and like normal CIS in behaviour, nice and happy on the road with a flat map at 130 positive I’m using a grey DPR so the centre point on these is lean There is a pretty massive jump at Zero (our 100) between negative and positive so the DPR itself is jumpy when changing direction which would explain why Bosch ran them with a positive bias of 30ma or 6ma We also hav...

10 Replies and 2551 Views MSExtra Thread Summary  2551  10 Started by  Reanimotion the following is an extract of the thread we created on MSExtra.com Wed Jul 09, 2014 4:41 am I've been running a microsquirt in the car for a couple of years now to drive the CANbus instruments and accessories transplanted during the original build. During the planning of the refresh I thought 'Hey, why not EFI' Well after some research, I then chickened out as the CIS system is working fine, but the silly side of me then thought 'Hey, what about a digital WUR' A few weeks of...
